An amazing opportunity to help bridge this brilliant mind to the rest of the world. One mistake, though, and you might change the theories of the universe forever.
Only closed-minded atheists would have any reason to apply.
My guess is that no other types would be considered.
Before all the atheist spit hits the fan, the fact that I am not an atheist does not in the least imply that I am closed-minded. On the contrary. The bulk of scientific evidence available at this point in history (December 29, 2011) puts the cumulative weight solidly in support of the "hypothesis" of intelligent design as the only rational explanation for the universe, of Earth's place in the universe, and of biological life.
Contrary to Hawking's assertion that "science predicts that multiple universes will spontaneously be created," (1) this use of the Passive Voice, the favored form of communication for scientists and other miscreants, is not an example of "objectivity" but nonsensical, since the verb "to create" requires an AGENT subject, which the use of the passive voice does not remove even if it does obscure.
(2) The multiverse hypothesis is not only by definition absurd (uni-verse means "the one and only all," but is, as a pragmatic matter, a desperate and near-hysterical leap of faith toward the only escape hatch from the implications of the Big Bang, that anything which begins must have a cause. The agent of a personal and powerful free will, an everyday experience for every human being and therefore a completely rational idea, explains completely the spontaneous beginning of anything whatsoever. The random, naturalistic, purposeless nothing cannot rationally explain any uncaused beginning. But belief in an eternal always-existing purposeless naturalistic background from which spontaneously springs uncaused multiple universes is infinitely more irrational than belief in an omnipotent God, which is almost what such an absurd idea proposes--all of God's attributes and powers except for personhood, consciousness, will, and perfection, moral and otherwise.
As long as someone is going to believe in an eternally existing supreme reality, it cannot make more sense than to believe that this Reality is
God.
Eternally perfect.
Nothing less makes any sense.
To believe in something less is not an intelligent thing to do, whatever the arbitrary standards and the sycophants have to say about that.
John, you're admirably messed up. I'm sure Hawking would appreciate you shoving your superstitions on him. Physical reality is just that, something everyone experiences. I don't share your emotional deficit that requires an "eternally perfect" god, good luck with that.
John, you truly are a mess, but whatever floats your boat.
I think Stephen Hawking is intelligent enough that a person's technical skill would be the number one requirement. Now, if a person has that skill and is still a know-it-all religioso, he'd probably enjoy that a lot.
A crippled man is looking for help maintaining his connection to the rest of the world. And you had to be THAT guy... the guy who brings religion to the comments section to EVERY. SINGLE. ARTICLE. HERE. Just go away.
You're using one of the most butchered and assimilative languages in the history of the world to prove something based on the language's rules? Wasn't the bible written in hebrew, translated into greek, then latin, then whatever else? Rules of the english language don't prove anything here.
The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Greek. Unlike others who do take the Bible at its English language face value, I look to the original languages. Both Hebrew and Greek are more detailed languages than English (for example, there are 5 different words in Greek for the word "love" when we only have one). But I was not talking about the Bible. Hawking's own writing, written in the English language, says "science predicts that multiple universes will spontaneously be created". So, he used the English language to set forth his beliefs. I used the English language, and the grammatical laws within, to ask a question.
Mike, your post is riddled with linguistic ignorance clearly rooted in the willful blindness of anti-Biblical pretension. Science is enough here, friend.
Do yourself a favor and talk to a linguist.
Verbs have "frames" of reference, and each individual verb has a cloud of satellite "arguments" that are required to be used in conjunction with it in order to impart any particular semantic meaning to the verb. One of these arguments is the 'agent.' Another is the 'patient'. In the sentence "John gave Mary the book," for example, "John" is the agent, "book" is the patient, and "Mary" is another argument, a "dative" reference. This verb requires all three of these arguments to make any sense, as does the verb "to put." I can't say "John gave Mary," or "Joe put the book" and make any sense with the dative missing from the former and the locative missing from the latter.
Truck yourself over to the postgraduate department of Linguistics at the University of California Berkeley, and ask someone who actually knows what they are talking about to teach you something about the "frames" of verbs.
The particular language or dialect has nothing whatsoever to do with it. In ANY language "create" or its equivalent requires an agentive subject. Case closed.
"And you had to be THAT guy... the guy who brings religion to the comments section to EVERY. SINGLE. ARTICLE. HERE. Just go away."
Hawkings has himself introduced religion into any mention of his name with his asinine comment that "heaven is a fairy story" and the one on multiple universes.
Thus any mention of his supposed and much trumpeted intelligence demands a disclaimer calling attention to the irrationality of his atheism that open-minded people can weigh all the evidence and decide for themselves whether or not to believe that the man has anything useful to say to us.
As for your apparent hysterical fear of hearing religion mentioned in public conversation, that is a problem for you to deal with, not me. Your hostilities to religion are not an unfamiliar experience. I have my own visceral dislikes, and one of them is people like you.
As for going away, you'll have to kill me first.
Till then, I'll be here and putting religion in your face, like it or not.
Hey Beach. Im good. LOL...no I dont have an alarm. I KNOW that I dont have all of the answers, sometimes there is just faith. I have just been a Christian for along time and have studied alot of things. I do like to carry on a logical, respectful discussion about things that matter to me :)
Within the last week or so on "The Doctors" CBC, 2:00 p.m. L.A. area. Google it. There was featured the first voice transplant. She too used a voice synthesizer and now has her voice back. I forget the cause of her loss, it was trauma of some sort.
And WHAT is the point of not being able to use instruction book or manual, sounds stupid to me, or some ego thing. Does he want results or just a stupid "thingeeee"
earthgirl, don't know who you are addressing, but funny nonetheless. People like that gave us dubya.
Melody, you go girl. I've been giving these things some thought for.....oh, decades. lol I'm okay until someone starts the "I'm right" thing and tries to get to people using fear ("Well, if I'm right, I'm okay; if you're wrong, you burn in hell.")
Melody, wherever this universe came from, it didn't come from a God who thinks like that.
Here's a thought...beyond the edge of the universe (Sorry Dr Hawkings, but I think there is only one universe..but who can know for sure?) is probably a pure nothingness and emptyness that if you think about it would have no end and thus would go on for infinity or forever.
John..intelligent design..well..when and how was the designer created?
Holy Christ John are you still living in your mother's basement? I mean, you're over 50 years old, isn't it time to quit playing with your gameboy, move out of the basement and get a life?
john, the reality is that you have an irrational need to attack and belittle anyone that doesn't follow your control-freak cult.
I know a lot of christians, and unlike you, they don't have a wild and irrational need to viciously attack and belittle anyone and everyone that doesn't march in lockstep with their belief system.
it is people such as yourself that bring on the much-needed derision that YOU deserve

assuming for the sake of argument that such a being does exist, it is not going to be anything remotely resembling anything written about in any ancient books
the thing is john, I feel NO NEED to jump on religious websites or threads and start screaming about how illogical their unfounded beliefs are. so why is it that religious, anti-science zealots such as yourself have such a burning need to shove their religion in other peoples faces?
John and the other Biblical Physicists: The technical term for your rationalizations and tautologies is rectal myopia.
For those of you induced illiterates who think that the Bible was the literal word of God, keep in mind that the Greek term for "young woman" was mistranslated into the Latin word "virgin" and that the original Hebraic term for Jesus' birth was "bastard."
"John..intelligent design..well..when and how was the designer created?"
This not-so clever rejoinder has been posted on newsvine and elsewhere for seemingly ages without every being an intelligent, or even a relevant, question.
Anything that has a beginning has a cause.
God has no beginning, and needs not a cause.
An eternal God having always been does not need to be created.
The universe, which BEGAN needs an explanation for its beginning, and free will is the only rational possibility among all the things for which we have empirical evidence.
Thus, the universe, which began, must have been created.
God, who never began, has no need of a creator.
Your question only sheds light on the ignorance that is the basis for your question.
Interesting,
to see all the atheists who have no "need" to get in people's faces with their hostility to God and those who serve Him,
getting in people's faces with their hostility to God and those who serve Him.
"Go ye and teach all creatures, . . ."
Thus who are you to tell me otherwise that I should listen?
Perhaps if you died for me you could get my attention.
Jym, while I agree with you that the Hebrew term for Maiden, or young woman was mistranslated into the Greek as Virgin, please identify the Hebrew term for Jesus's birth as bastard. That's just baloney.
While I don't necessarily agree with all of Steve Hawkings views on the creation of the universe I myself would find it fascinating to work and learn from such a man. I wish I had the qualifications.
John - Faith is being used to try and answer the questions that cannot be humanly answered. As long as no one else is being harmed, everyone in the USA has a right to their own view point and faith. I don't believe, for instance, that "everything that has a beginning has a cause". We can agree to disagree and thats it. I am entitled to my outlook as much as you are. Get over it and respect other people's points of views even if you strongly disagree with them. Your outlook serves you well and thats great. Just don't expect everyone else to have the same outlook.
If "God" can have no beginning and needs not a cause, then it follows that the universe also could have no beginning and needs not a cause. An eternal universe does not need to be created. Since we can observe that there is a universe and we cannot observe that there is a "God", then the simplest explanation is that there is no "God". Your logic is also flawed in that you assume, take a leap of faith so to speak, that the "God" you worship is the correct god. Humanity has had many gods. Even religious people are typically Atheists with regard all the gods that humanity has ever worshiped except of one. Atheists just go one god further.
I would also submit that Dr. Hawking, who has suffered from ALS for nearly 50 years, has suffered more than Jesus did on the cross. Jesus suffered and died no differently than the uncounted others who were executed in that manner. Among those executed on the cross there were undoubtedly many innocent people.
John, your aggression will never aid your cause. If you do this because you really believe you are called to do it, then you should just stop because you're failing yourself. It's not like you're really here witnessing to anyone. You're just persecuting. Lighten up, you might enjoy yourself a little more.
John, for the love of God, do you ever proof-read anything you post?
plain bob, Elvis. That is absolutely hilarious. I am so glad I checked back here on what old John has been up to since I departed yesterday. As usual, you are a man of few, and very funny, words. Keep at it in the new year!!
The nonsense being presented here as a rebuke for my imagined sins of blame and condemnation are all imagined. Re-read all of what I have written here. In what way and with what words did I do the tenth part of what I have been here accused of doing? Where did I assign blame to someone or condemn someone to hell? Where did I categorize everyone who disagrees with me as though they belonged to some sub-human species? Using which words? In which post?
I suspect that these accusers and fault-finders are reading their own hypocritical fantasies into the conversation and reeling back in horror over things that only exist in their own minds, such as an opinion about what every Christian must also be saying whenever he simply says, "God exists," based, in all likelihood, on the behaviors of some "religious" character in a movie played by a Christ-hating atheist, mouthing lines written by a Christ-hating atheist that are designed to maximize the hatred for Christian hypocrisy that is fueled and bred by such people (as though there weren't already enough of the real thing to create the needed disgust).
Their fear of God's judgment (not mine) must truly be deep and terrible.
As for why it is relevant to bring up the atheistic beliefs of a man like Hawking, here is the altogether morally justifiable reason:
If you read my long post below detailing the cruel and monstrous murders of Christians around the world by totalitarian atheistic Communist governments throughout the twentieth century and continuing today, you can perhaps begin to understand the depth of my feeling on this topic.
Christ was crucified. I will be crucified with Him. By atheists. I know this. I knew this when I chose to follow Him in the first place.
Men like Stephen Hawking, leaders of science and research into the meaning of the universe, are the men who give the atheistic monsters at the heads of these monstrous atheistic governments the license that they need to engage in wholesale slaughter, terror, and torture.
Their rule is by fear. The greatest fear they can instill is the fear of death and suffering that they can instill in those who do not believe in the resurrection of the dead. The cross of Jesus Christ give meaning to suffering and to death, and teaches us that these things are the ONLY means to a lasting GLORY that could never come into existence in any other way.
Ask any soldier who has survived the battlefield in which many of his compatriots were killed if there is any GLORY in having gone out to face death selflessly and lived though it, if you should happen to need a quick and cheap answer to the question as to whether or not there is such a thing as GLORY.
Because the Christian teaches all men that they can leave their fear of death and suffering behind by simply believing in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, they are monstrously HATED by the most evil men on the face of the earth, because the Christian missionary is the person who sets their slave populations free from the fear and terror of death at the hands of the murderous monsters that rule atheistic regimes.
Stephen Hawking and men of his ilk give these murderous monsters the excuses they need to legitimize the defiance of God that is indispensable to the work of wholesale slaughter of men for religious faith. They give the totalitarian monsters the "scientific" so-called basis for ignoring every norm of ethical reason and morality by creating a false "empiricism" where there is no such thing, only a blind faith in a dead naturalistic machine. They give these murderous monsters the power to be "intellectually fulfilled" atheistic mass murderers, forging the very chains that bind all the subordinates and cadre that carry out these inhuman practices.
And this makes them party to these crimes and equally guilty thereof.
NOW, if you wish to say that I have placed blame of some particular kind in some particular place, go ahead and feel free to do so without the slightest concern for my calling you a liar over it.
And by the way, on a lesser, even trivial topic by comparison, ALL of the available empirical evidence clearly indicates that THIS universe had a beginning, and no reputable scientist can disagree with THIS statement without speaking a lie.
I see, "guilt by association", yep Hitler tried that, Hitler also railed against atheists too:
Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith ...we need believing people.
- Adolf Hitler, April 26, 1933, speech made during negotiations leading to the Nazi-Vatican Concordant
John what a peice of dumb@!$%#. So, your use perverted logic to make your doG a necessary being and therefore he exists ? You can poof up any number of logical arguments that foolish theologians and God bothering fools like you do, but until you demonstrate with evidence n emperical data, all you are doing is fooling urself. And your bloody bull@!$%# Jeebus guy doesn't have 1 bit of archeological evidence to back it up and you want sane grown up people to believe in your nonsense ?
I think that it is time that maybe he update his system. Perhaps a genus could create a new one for him that is more maintainable. Good luck Dr. Hawkins.
a friend of ours could tape a extension cord to his head and read his thoughts thru mind reading technology...wouldn't need the extension cord...it would just be there to distract people from looking at...the mind reading technologist... who is a jerk con man...this is what the american people want...he say's that a lot...
All you had to do was click on the highlighted link in the article, took you straight to his site and you could see the picture. Took just a couple of clicks. I wish I could do it, I'm good with electronics, but a chance to have a few discussions with the man would be absolutely incredible. I'm sure he could answer many many questions I have!
knowledge and information is always more valuable than money. Aside from that it is a bit low on the pay scale, then again it is probably not a 9-5'er job.

Some times you have an opportinity to do things no matter the price. If I were younger and not spend 35 years creating and bringing up a family I would jump at the opportunity. But alas I am an old man. I had dreams that I now see accomplshed by a younger generation. My science project in HS delth with Exoplanets,Terraforming and all the places I dreamed that are now part of SF .
He's probably frustrated that he keeps having equipment failures.
Probably for a reason.
He'd be far better off if he simply began to pray that God would make his life more meaningful.
He might even find, if he stopped focusing so much on his own ideas and their resultant pointless goals, that the machines wouldn't break down on him so often and he wouldn't need his own personal repairman.
Typical presumptuous atheist leftist with no need for evidence of any kind before leaping off the high-diving board of ad-hominem attacks.
So "Republican" is your favorite boogey-man, eh? I'm really quite surprised that you didn't spell it with some insulting and repugnant variation, more typical of your ilk.
You couln't possibly be farther from the truth. I don't even LIKE republicans.
But I will admit that I don't quite DESPISE them as much as I do Democrats.
I serve a King. You serve your belly and your party factions, and swallow death without even blinking.
I know what I am doing.
You, on the other hand, don't even know that you don't even know.
(Off topic: Beach, you started it. But you laughed at the apropos parallel of my response to your comment about going "back" under a rock, and I've decided that you're probably worth forgiving after all. Just because you don't know which side of the rock I'm on doesn't necessarily make you a bad person. :-)
Hey, John, I'm all about laughing.......I mean, when you are going straight to hell when you die, you gotta laugh while you're here, right?
I danced to Oh Holy Night last week with a visitor from another country, who spoke another language and didn't know the song. I guess that seals the deal, right? :)

John, many here seem very familiar with your Bible-beating. How is it I don't remember "meeting" you? Maybe because you are no different than the rest of your ilk?
And, yes, your "go back to your sewer" did make me laugh, but I didn't start this, you did with your religious diatribes. We were discussing Stephen Hawking and Stephen King and astrology before you got here and having a great time!! lol Where the heck are Bob's posts equating Hawkings' genius with Stephen King's? lol Bob, I just noticed their surnames are only three letters different.
Jeannette, I find your comment on Republicans and Democrats being nifty quite shocking for this forum and wonder if you know where you are. :)
Oh, wait, I see the very funny Bob right below this post...........
Oh how I wish I could do this sort of work. Mr. Hawkins is the most amazing man in the world. I would love to just meet him once. What is locked up inside him? I love astrology. Mr Hawkins is to the universe what Stephen King is to writing. You are the greatest Stephen. I pray you find that special person to help you out. Peace, Bob
Mr Hawkins is to the universe what Stephen King is to writing.
Oh, my. Bob, that is a classic post. I'm fairly certain Hawking would be rather amused, if not insulted, by the comparison to Stephen King (sweety, King is really a terrible writer...........unless you're still in your teens).
Bob, yours is truly the post that keeps on giving. And to think I almost didn't read this story!! lol
For everyone, Hawking has come to the conclusion that there is no God. Put quite simply, time did not exist before the universe existed; therefore, there was no time in which God could have existed. Therefore, no God.
"most intelligent people have no interest in praying"
This in no way implies that praying is not an intelligent thing to do.
Most intelligent people are also selfish, and their excrement stinks as much as anyone else's does. So what? You have made no point.
The comment about astrology and Steven King is perhaps an example of real tongue-in-cheek humor.
Hawking's atheism might indeed be as terrifying as King tries to be (Christians have been murdered by atheists by the millions during the past century, and are threatened by more of the same in this one), and his atheistic mores put his "multi-verse" cosmology closer to astrology than to any kind of real, empirical science.
Those of us that do believe in a God, intelligent designer, supreme being, higher power, etc, God exists outside of time. He is infinite. No beginning or end which is difficult to fully grasp as we are finte beings, bound by time. So, it is another thing that we really dont know, neither side does. Science cannot explain everything. That is why there is faith. It takes just as much faith to believe there is no God than to believe there is one. We all have faith within us. We have faith that when we go to bed, tomorrow will come. We have faith that when we sit in a chair, that it will not buckle under our weight. We all have faith. The only difference is where you choose to place it.
lance: you said it right on. Mr. Hawking supercedes the pettiness. Mr. Hawking, Thank you for allowing your findings to be brought into our living rooms and inspiring our youngsters to reach out. lance, thanks, too.
(Christians have been murdered by atheists by the millions during the past century, and are threatened by more of the same in this one),
what a load of self-serving, victim-mentality garbage. you make it sound as if christians were somehow singled out like the jews were by the nazis, instead of just one group of many that were attacked for political and idealogical reasons
you know john, I have no problem with religious people that don't try to run my life, the Amish are zero threat and extremely devout. I would never try to tell them how to live their lives. but it is the radical, religious, right-wing CHRISTIAN ZEALOTS that are trying to take my country and freedoms away from me.
having found their own "truth" they have the burning need to force their belief on everyone else by rewriting our laws to fit their view. the nutbag right has engaged in a massive revisionism of history. sloganeering such nonsense as "the US is a christian nation"(it's not, it is a secular nation and that is the way the founding fathers wanted it), etc

You are wrong.
Christians were slaughtered by the millions by the Stalinists, the Maoists, and the North Korean lunatics. We are more hated in atheist totalitarian states than any other kind of person and subjected to the cruellest deprivations and torture for refusing to denounce our King. We have an X-ray view into the communist prisons of Romania under the Stalinists by a man who was sent there for preaching the gospel in an atheist state, who experienced the worst kinds of treatment imaginable, yet lived to be released and to pray to be sent back for the sake of the souls there in need. "In God's Undergound" was the original title of pastor Wurmbrand's book, renamed "Tortured for Christ."
To this very day Christians are routinely arrested, beaten, tortured and killed simply for professing faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, a resurrection that absolutely terrifies the rulers of this world whose crimes leave them horribly terrified of any possibility of a Judgement after death.
There are many voices that have come from behind the iron curtain in recent years telling us that things have not changed at all, only grown worse. The North Koreans hate a Christian more than anyone anywhere could hate anything it seems, and for only one reason: because they believe in the resurrection of the dead, and this makes people less afraid of the demonic monsters that dominate that country and every other totalitarian state.
They are working their way around the world, and will be coming soon, to a neighborhood near you. You, too, need to know that there is a Judgement, that the world will be divided into those who crucify Christ, and those who are crucified with him. Heaven and hell are real. They are both very real. It is far too late in human history for anyone with a real heart and a real conscience to worry about the foolish words of stupid mocking faithless people. Others are depending on you to set them free from their fear of death. Too many are deceived into abject cowardice as a slave to silly pride.
As you likely are.
You are not only just simply wrong, you are very wrong.
What you call a "Christian" is not really a Christian. Your Republican "christians" and Democratic "christians" are NOT Christians. Anyone who carries a Bible in one hand and a gun in the other is NOT a Christian.
A Christian follows Jesus Christ, to the cross. All the way to the cross.
I do not follow Peter, I follow Jesus. All the way to the cross. I do not excuse Peter's use of the sword, nor his cowardice, nor his vain self-importance. I do not make excuses for the plain teachings of Jesus Christ, nor tolerate their perversion into that which is acceptable to violent men, political needs, or sectarian privilege and advantage.
The North Koreans hate a Christian more than anyone anywhere could hate anything it seems
more self-serving nonsense, the NKs hate everyone and anyone that is not NK, they have been raised since birth that way. ANYONE that challenges the central authority in ANY way is sent to prison camps and tortured.
john, I have a question.
why are you so disrespectful of others? I do not jump on to religious topics and berate them for their illogic, why do you jump on science topics and berate people?

Those who wish to know the truth of these things can know who it is that is being abusive and speaking a plain, self-contradictory lie and who is not.
Incidentally, that the North Koreans hate Christians about as much as anyone could hate anyone for any reason is a truth that I believe which I heard from a North Korean who survived a North Korean concentration camp,
God's provided witness to the rest of the world that nothing done in secret will ever be hidden from the eyes of all.
Those who wish to know the truth of these things can know whether it is that I came here to do my own will, or the will of the One who sent me.
the NKs will ardently and enthusiastically torture anyone claiming that anyone or anything is higher than their (ahem) "glorious leader"( or whatever the current term is for their nutcase in charge). so, yes christians will definitely qualify.
my point being that christians weren't the only ones being targeted, in chinas "cultural devolution" (deliberate misspelling), not only were religious leaders of all types targeted, but artists, engineers, doctors and nearly anyone else with a higher education except party lackeys. same held true for the ussr and stalins purges
you try to make it sound as if the christians were the sole recipient of these atrocities and the sole reason was atheism, which is untrue to the point of being ludicrous
honestly, I expect the 'black bag units" (if such a thing were to occur) in the US to target atheists and scientists before anyone else with the current political situation being what it is.
John what the Christians were killed by Stalinists ( who were communists, not atheists) and your stupid Catholic Church supported it right. But, you want to blame it on Atheists. What a 'Christian' logic. So enlightening you scumbag
Perhaps someone who majored in engineering physics can do the job, especially one who also has a master's degree in electrical computer engineering. My husband. Oops my bad, he has the same problem with speech that Stephen Hawking has due to a trach being in so long. Besides, his former supervisor has already told him he can't work due to "not being able to carry on a normal conversation." There are many talented people out there who can probably do the job, but not Tim the Toolman Taylor.
Susan.........Oh, my! This entire topic is truly the thread that keeps on giving. So glad I stopped by.
Okay, on to you, Susan. You point is...........well, what exactly? That your husband has two degrees, therefore you must be great or..........that your husband has a trach, therefore you must be great?
Susan, you can call me Beach. Everyone does. Let's move on.....Sorry. You know how it is..........get caught up in the moment. Sorry about your husband. Please let me know where my reading comprehension is lacking.
Bob really has me flustered here. His may be the greatest comment of all time.
Too bad I dont have the required skills necessary to be able to do this job. To be associated with the greatest mind in the field of theoretical astrophysics since albert einstein would truly be an incredible honor.
Sometimes you take a job not for the money, but for the oppurtunity. Personally I would take it, if it was offered, even though I would be taking a pay cut. Of course the odds of me being selected are almost nill I am afraid, even though I am qualified.
@gelintor if you receive 38,500 in unemployment let be know what state you live in maybe I'll move. hell florida is $14,500. let me ask this how can some states be 950.00 a week and others be $250.00 a week?
I would say that if you take into account that you'll be traveling all over the world, and most likely your traveling expenses would be covered, as well as boarding, possibly food as well.. All of the places you get to see, interesting people you get to meet, the experience alone makes up for any lacking of the yearly salary.
The story I hear is that he's a demanding SOB, even without the condition.
Oh, and his name is Hawking. Not Hawkin, not Hawken, not Hawkins, not Hawkings. It's shown right on this page. Granted, it's up at the top, where you might have to look for it, but for Christ's sake....
Angry Guy, just got to laugh that stuff off or you'll be angry all the time. I'm sitting hear laughing at people wishing Mr. "Hawkin" well and complimenting his expertise in astrology. :)
Susan, right you are. You got me there. I'm just laughing so hard at this stuff..........
And no one likes the grammar and spelling police, Susan. Give it a rest, girl. But not knowing someone's name and astrology and comparing Hawking's greatness to that of Stephen King...........priceless!!
Well it depends does it come from his own pocket or will the university pay for this. Actually any extra in Hollywood can make this money and smoke it away.
gelintor, why should it depend upon where the money is coming from? I have to assume Hawking has done quite well for himself financially and the university? I wouldn't worry about the university.
If I was qualified and didn't have family responsibilities I would certainly be applying. While it is true the money isn't much, it really isn't about the money. And I can imagine that this is the kind of position that can open doors to you that would otherwise be locked.
The drool is the least of it i wiped much more from my mother and father..Remember what goes around turns around. And look in a mirror you will become what you fear and OLD person.
I am a 38 year old male that just moved back home to help care for my mother who is suffering from ALS. I am so glad that there are people in the world like Pup1 who are able to find the humor in the man's condition. I proudly wipe the chin of my mother who can no longer speak and can choke on the smallest amount of food. Go head and volunteer for just 1 day at any care facility with ALS patients and see how humorous the disease is. Watching your body completely shut down and paralyze while your brain is 100% functioning, not something to laugh about.
Jagermeister, may I suggest that unless you develop a very dark sense of humor, you are going to have an extremely difficult time dealing with the care of your mother and its aftermath. You're going to have a very difficult time anyway, but I know where you're coming from.
People in the healthcare field (docs, nurses, EMTs, you name it) SURVIVE by having a dark sense of humor. Pup1 made me laugh and I've seen plenty a sad and hopeless day. Lighten up. You need to find someone in your life who can help you laugh again (if you have before).
My best wishes for you and your mother. I have a brother with ALS. It is an ugly disease. Imatthebeach is correct, a dark sense of humor will help you survive.
Really, really frustrating, I'd imagine. I don't know for sure, but I bet with his speech system, it takes him minutes to form a sentence. That's got to be frustrating for him, too.
Funny, newsvine says, "Your comments could not be posted . . ."
and then they show up again when you do as directed and post them again.
Thankfully there is an edit button and this can be cleansed of its redundancy.
There is an expression, penny wise but pound foolish.
The same can be said for intelligence. And in this case, there is something very important that is severely lacking. He may be a math whiz,
but he's out there in goo-goo land with his theories of multi-verse universe origins and his disrespect for the One who created him and the obvious evidence that He left us with for His glory and creative power.
Intelligence is relative and hard to measure. Stephen Hawking is certainly a very intelligent and remarkable person, who has had to overcome incredible hardships. He seems to be a decent person. That is remarkable considering that he has had ALS for almost 50 years. A lesser person would have given up, been bitter, jealous, or worse. In contrast, other people, as evidenced by some of the posts (John-3078515 is an example.), are clearly without reason. In his own words, "...severely lacking." and stuck in his, "...goo-goo land...."
He seems to be a decent person. That is remarkable considering that he has had ALS for almost 50 years. A lesser person would have given up, been bitter, jealous, or worse
There is no such thing as an atheist who is a decent person. That's a hard doctrine for an atheist to accept, because they worship themselves as gods, but it is the simple truth, and as much for that very reason as for others.
The person whom you are praising is bitter and jealous. That is why it is important enough for a man in his position to speak such lies as "Heaven is a fairy story." His bitterness and jealousy is written large all over that statement.
And he is chummy with murderous Chinese communist dictators and their brutal cadre, praising their wisdom and attentiveness and seeing no fault in them.
In the final analysis, not everyone will be found to agree with your two assessments, the praise and the criticism.
You will see the truth of this soon enough.
Pray that you have the wisdom when you do, to know what it means.
Mind you, in this economy he may be able to find someone that would take that amount of pay. Although, if he expects that person to also pay for their own food and such...he might be a wee bit pressed to find somebody that is as smart as they would need to be willing to take that small sum.
I can't even start to imagine how frustrating it must be to have such a brilliant mind and be limited by technology (or the lack there of). I read that it takes him 3-4 hours to "record" a 30 minute lecture. Imagine trying to relay the calculations of his work. Hopefully technology will catch up in his lifetime. BTW He did an excellent job of "dumbing" down his work in "A brief history of time". He did it (maybe) 15 yr. ago, but it's worth getting your hands on.
The ultra intellegnet tend to have very little common sence. That coupled with the fact that they think they are smarter than God (if they even believe in such a thing) would make them hard to live with. The fact is we are all people. None better than the other. We all have talents and abilities. And no man should be revered above God.
How do you know the religious beliefs of Dr. Hawking? Who said he is more revered than God? To the best of my knowledge, he is just trying to understand how the universe that He created works.
BTW Are you jealous of the ultra intelligent? I am, but at least I admit it.
ANTHONY, you seem to be more than a little threatened by even the thought of a highly intelligent person. That old adage about the highly intelligent having no common "sence" is just silliness.
Come on, ANTHONY. You're just using this space to get up on your pulpit again, right?
Give it a rest. If we all wanted to be in church right now, we'd be there. What is your problem with Stephen Hawking? Look at the poor guy. And you would begrudge him even his intelligence? Wow, that God of yours must really think you are special.
wghky, Hey, I don't know much myself but I know that.
Hawking's theory (expressed by him so that we mere mortals can have some understanding) is that time began when the universe began. There was no time before the universe existed; therefore, there was no time in which God could exist. Therefore, there is no God.
If that's a correct statement of Dr. H's theory on God, its pretty stupid. Time is just a consequence of creation; as if God would be subject to the laws of His own creation.
OK take "that He created" out of my statement if you like. I personally believe that God did create the universe at the "big bang". That is my belief. It still does not change the intent of my reply to ANTHONY's post.
stoopid: your statement, "as if God would be subject to the laws of His own creation." That sounded so familiar, kind of the base of the repub/tparty, For thee, not ME.
Isn't it funny that all those religeous nut caseas and flat earthers have no objection, and using all the scientific advances made during the time that the church burned the people at the stake that made them.
Those fruit cakes if they have the balls should reject and the uses of all those advance made in the face of religeous objections.
But I doubt that they are willing to do so and go back to their stone age believes and stone hammers and wooden spears.
The earth is the center of the universe eh? (sarcasm)
(I'm simply stating a simple truth. There is no narrowing of my eyes and no bitterness in my attitude, for those of you who have a congenital intolerance to being contradicted. I'm actually smiling just at the moment at the raging throng and its silliness, but that's off topic.)
There is more available evidence today than there was twenty years ago (is that when you formed your convictions about things?) that the weight of all the available scientific evidence in 2011 points conclusively to the universe having been created by an intelligent designer, it bearing so many, many, many (we're talking in the trillions of trillions of trillions of trillions of .... trillions-to-one region of probabilities) hallmarks of intelligent design.
I dare you to read Lee Strobel's 2004 book "The Case for a Creator" (ISBN 0-310-24209-6) and come back here spewing the same ignorant nonsense that you posted above with a straight face.
Wanna take the challenge? You're sure that if you ignore this you will never have any egg on your face, huh? How sure?
Are you firmly convinced that your false sense of security in a refuge of lies and nonsense is good enough to last you for however much time you have left against all challenges?
Do you feel LUCKY today, Cynic? Trillion-trillion-to-one lucky?
John another obivious bull @!$%#ter post. Science precisely proves that there is no creator required for the Universe and diversity of life on Earth. Science already refuted ur idiotic and stupid fairytale called Buybull. John you ignorant fool, do you wanna take the challenge of reading Stephen Hawkings grand design and still conclude there is a doG ? Stop parading your ignorance as knowledge. So, there are billions of planets and just one has life ? SO ur doG is so wasteful n impotent ? Even if he exists, he is not worthy of a thinking person's worship.
Isn't it time for this bitter little being to die? He has spread so much anti-Christian, anti-spiritual messages over the years. The true messure of a man is the inter-self. What a crusty little soul.
Crusty? You sound like a crusty, wimpy little Brit. What's your problem with Hawking? The man's life has not been hard enough to even feel a wee little bit of compassion for him?
Anti-Christian? I have never heard nor read anything about Mr. Hawking being anti-Christian. He is an atheist, however. Does that bother you, Parker, you pathetic human being?
Yes, Parker, the true "messure" of a man is the "inter"-self. You certainly "messure" up to your Christianity, don't you?
What's the matter, Parker? Does he make you doubt your shaky little belief system? I mean, life can be tough if you don't believe in things like angels and God, right? lol
Just think. You just might be a lunatic, talking to yourself, when you are doing all that praying.
Parker...do you really call yourself a believer? Someone who really believes and holds to the teachings of the Bible? If so, lets talk believer to believer here, ok? I dont like to come across as judgmental but the Bible does say you will know a believer by their fruits, and the fruit that I see from your post is very discouraging. He may be an atheist. He may feel that there is no God to speak of. But that is his decision and of his own free will. For you to sit there and insult him and say he should just die already is no better than the religious leaders who where against Jesus and plotted to kill him. Only God knows his heart, just like He is the only one who really knows yours or mine. Based on your few sentences, I dont like what I heard. It is God's choice when Mr. Hawking's time is up. For you to say that this man should just die??? If what the Bible says is true (which I do believe it is), than it is not God's will that any should die but that all should come to repentance. You wishing death on someone who has yet to turn their heart to Christ is wrong. You should be praying for him instead of wanting him to die. Im glad God is more merciful.
Isn't it time for this bitter little being to die? He has spread so much anti-Christian, anti-spiritual messages over the years. The true messure of a man is the inter-self. What a crusty little soul.
I'm happy to take up the gauntlet for him. Those of us that have been repressed and tortured by religion for centuries have a great deal of ground to cover before the balance is begins to draw even. So much hate from the so-called Christians of the world. Look at your post for example.
Parker its nutcases and losers like you that I hate about Christians. So someone who opposes your lies and fairytales should die ? What a pathetic excuse for humans you Christians are. I guess scum is better than you.
I think he is looking for someone qualified that would be willing to work for him for peanuts. Then, once hired, after all the crazies have been vetted out, he will pay more. Plus, the travel alone! That salary is probably gravy compared to all the perks you could get on that job! First Class service, meeting other great minds, travel, probably housing...plus, you'll always get to park in the handi spot! That's plush!
lol! ah hello, don't you know people that build their own computers as a hobby! i am just saying, so they can get smarter....it's practically a priviledge, geez! sensity aren't we!
Dawn,Any dam fool can build their own computer,I know I've done about 15 of them for people. To troubleshoot and maintain a one-off system that transformes twitch to speech without any documentation is not for the computer builder.Thats like you saying I know how to drive a car,so I should be able to rebuild an engine and transmission.
Now, now Dick H. Don't be a dick. Let's be nice to Bob. He simply made my day. That short post of his was so rich in comic material.......I hope he doesn't come back here to find us....well, doing what we're doing.
Happy New Year, friend. lol
I honestly think that may be the best post I've ever seen.....
For real Imatthebeach does that mouth ever stop yapping. You seem to have something to say about everything and to everyone. Sounds like you dont get enough attention at home.
Jeremiah, we were having a discussion here before you butted in. Don't know what time zone you are in, but if you are on here, insulting people for no reason at 1 AM, I think you may be doing a bit of projecting and it is you who is not getting enough attention at home.
Now go do that school project you've been putting off. Back to school on Monday!
Amazing.
The word "create" is a verb. A verb is an action. A verb is carried out by a noun. Now, what noun would have the ability to create? Just a thought.
Hi, Melody. Should have known you'd turn up. How do you do it, girl? Have the computer set to sound an alert on any discussion on religion?
How goes the soul-saving business? As you can see, I still haven't been "rescued".
Hey, everyone, Melody thinks she has all the answers but she's a good sort. Be nice to her.
Now I really am out of here for now.
Till then, I'll be here and putting religion in your face, like it or not.
yawn.
Hey Beach.
I can only hope you're not an American and allowed to vote.
earthgirl, don't know who you are addressing, but funny nonetheless.
Peace...........
i would up grade his voice to sound like elvis when he say's...thank you... thank you...thank you very much...
I know a lot of christians, and unlike you, they don't have a wild and irrational need to viciously attack and belittle anyone and everyone that doesn't march in lockstep with their belief system.
it is people such as yourself that bring on the much-needed derision that YOU deserve
as a final note:
assuming for the sake of argument that such a being does exist, it is not going to be anything remotely resembling anything written about in any ancient books
and the entire "only son" routine is ridiculous
the thing is john, I feel NO NEED to jump on religious websites or threads and start screaming about how illogical their unfounded beliefs are. so why is it that religious, anti-science zealots such as yourself have such a burning need to shove their religion in other peoples faces?
John and the other Biblical Physicists: The technical term for your rationalizations and tautologies is rectal myopia.
For those of you induced illiterates who think that the Bible was the literal word of God, keep in mind that the Greek term for "young woman" was mistranslated into the Latin word "virgin" and that the original Hebraic term for Jesus' birth was "bastard."
John-3078515,
If "God" can have no beginning and needs not a cause, then it follows that the universe also could have no beginning and needs not a cause.
Your friend,
The Agnostic
I see, "guilt by association", yep Hitler tried that, Hitler also railed against atheists too:
however john, if i see US government black bag units start sweeping up christians just because of their faith, i'll do whatever i can to help you
John what a peice of dumb@!$%#.
Hawkins.
I'm sure Apple could do it. Imagine the amazing publicity they'd get...
a friend of ours could tape a extension cord to his head and read his thoughts thru mind reading technology...wouldn't need the extension cord...it would just be there to distract people from looking at...the mind reading technologist... who is a jerk con man...this is what the american people want...he say's that a lot...
Cheap.
Agreed
Right. My first thought: salary is way too low. You've got to be kidding.
Also, I wish they'd had a photo of the ad he's running with this article.
Hey, thanks, NOCELL. I've had so much fun here I don't think I even care anymore. :)
UnFocused, I believe you hit the proverbial nail on its proverbial head.
What else would you expect from an atheist?
You aren't even good at trolling, John. Go crawl back under your rock.
And you to your sewer, beach.
Good one, John. lol
knowledge and information is always more valuable than money. Aside from that it is a bit low on the pay scale, then again it is probably not a 9-5'er job.
John,
You're the perfect example of how space warps around really dense objects.
Jesus Christ John...do you have to sound off on every thread? Never mind, continue living in your mothr's basement....I mean trash can
If John 3078515 is going to repeat his myopia, so am I:
John and the other Biblical Physicists: The technical term for your rationalizations and tautologies is rectal myopia.
For those of you induced illiterates who think that the Bible was the literal word of God, keep in mind that the Greek term for "young woman" was mistranslated into the Latin word "virgin" and that the original Hebraic term for Jesus' birth was "bastard."
Ufocused:
Some times you have an opportinity to do things no matter the price. If I were younger and not spend 35 years creating and bringing up a family I would jump at the opportunity. But alas I am an old man. I had dreams that I now see accomplshed by a younger generation. My science project in HS delth with Exoplanets,Terraforming and all the places I dreamed that are now part of SF .
Research doesn't pay much. But, I donot see an age limit or family-related restriction in the job requirements, just technical abilities
You can't argue with "might."
Either way you take it.
John maybe you never came across the quote 'A pair of working hands is better than thousand praying ones'.
Your never demostrated your God's might, so I'm laughting at ur fairy tale delusions you moron
I think I will apply.
You go, moltke. Let us all know how that works out for ya'.
Don't forget to check your brain at the laboratory door.
John-3078515
No guessing about this, religeous nut case eh.
Let me throw the political uproar in here. Republican to boot?
cynical, he's gotta be. If I weren't such a good Christian, I'd be insulted to be told to go back to my sewer. :)
John-3078515
I hope that you seek the help that you so desperately need.
Hey, John, I'm all about laughing.......I mean, when you are going straight to hell when you die, you gotta laugh while you're here, right?
I danced to Oh Holy Night last week with a visitor from another country, who spoke another language and didn't know the song. I guess that seals the deal, right? :)
I think Republicans AND Democrats are pretty nifty. There's more to life than politics.
yeah right, I'll bet you are referring to an invisible one that doesn't show itself.
and one of 9 self-proclaimed "messiahs" that were running around 2000 years ago.
too bad the guy has been dead for two millenia.
hate to tell you this, but he isn't "coming back".
Such an obvious lie, people.
From the father of lies.
It is only to be expected.
Go get your mirror, girl.
I could say the same thing if I had nothing else to contribute.
But I'm not as fond of the mindless repetition of empty middle-school cliches as so many so clearly are.
I could say the same thing and be perfectly serious.
But you wouldn't listen to it anyway so there would be no point.
Everyone hears. Few listen.
John never has a brain to forget right. He is one of those stupid Christian scum living on the food stamps. A bottom feeder of society.
Peace, Bob
I don't think you'll find Hawking has much of an interest in astrology (or praying for that matter).
most intelligent people have no interest in praying
Before he would hire you, I'm sure he would require that you know the difference between astrology and astronomy.
I pray usually when I am in trouble. Actually I cry and then the kids say mom why is pop crying and she says he allergic to banks and payments.
lol. Would help is everyone knew the guy's name is "Hawking", too!! :)
Wonder what his sign is? lol
John-3078515
You are a complete nutter
So when are you going to burn him at the stake. Any of your neighbours lined up who do not agree with your religeous believes.
Bob's post is a joke, guys. Christians don't have a sense of humor. Lighten up.
lance: you said it right on. Mr. Hawking supercedes the pettiness. Mr. Hawking, Thank you for allowing your findings to be brought into our living rooms and inspiring our youngsters to reach out. lance, thanks, too.
what a load of self-serving, victim-mentality garbage. you make it sound as if christians were somehow singled out like the jews were by the nazis, instead of just one group of many that were attacked for political and idealogical reasons
you know john, I have no problem with religious people that don't try to run my life, the Amish are zero threat and extremely devout.
Wanna try that again?
Just because you can't see the smile doesn't mean it isn't there.
I serve, yes I do, a King.
more self-serving nonsense, the NKs hate everyone and anyone that is not NK, they have been raised since birth that way.
Hawking chair needs to be updated I'm sure NASA could consult technology can do better what he has now is outdated.
Any Tech working for him needs repair manual or at least a clue
He is a theoretical physicts not an engineer.
Please, share with us.
Imatthebeach: Ok I'll bite. Your reading comprehension is not so great.
Susan, you can call me Beach. Everyone does. Let's move on.....Sorry. You know how it is..........get caught up in the moment. Sorry about your husband. Please let me know where my reading comprehension is lacking.
Bob really has me flustered here. His may be the greatest comment of all time.
NASA is too busy paying the Russians.
Too bad I dont have the required skills necessary to be able to do this job. To be associated with the greatest mind in the field of theoretical astrophysics since albert einstein would truly be an incredible honor.
Yeah, if only we all had the "required skills necessary," we could apply for the job instead of sitting here, wasting our time on the Vine.
moltke, you got your application in yet?
$38,500? really? Sounds like they don't want somebody that's actually qualified.
Sometimes you take a job not for the money, but for the oppurtunity. Personally I would take it, if it was offered, even though I would be taking a pay cut. Of course the odds of me being selected are almost nill I am afraid, even though I am qualified.
$ or & he is british you know. But then he maybe scottish who are very thrifty.
You dont seem to be qualified and can make more on unemployement benefits
Really, I didnt know you read my resume, so what part of being an electronics engineer makes me unqualified?
@gelintor
Make more on unemployment benefits? No way. I receive the maximum benefit and it is no where near $38,500!
@gelintor if you receive 38,500 in unemployment let be know what state you live in maybe I'll move. hell florida is $14,500. let me ask this how can some states be 950.00 a week and others be $250.00 a week?
And we're off!!
Hi, billc from FL.
Pounds or dollars, doesn't matter. Even in pounds that's not enough money. You know, show a little respect for your employees, right?
I would say that if you take into account that you'll be traveling all over the world, and most likely your traveling expenses would be covered, as well as boarding, possibly food as well.. All of the places you get to see, interesting people you get to meet, the experience alone makes up for any lacking of the yearly salary.
gelintor made that crack about unemployment because he's a troll. A bottom feeder repub/tparty.
moltke: go for it. If nothing else, the interview process would be worth it.
Moltke: Do it!
get a clue folks, its not a full time job.
40k for occasional maintenance and upgrades? Not bad.
How is this guy still single?
He isnt. He has been married twice I believe and he was not born this way.
The story I hear is that he's a demanding SOB, even without the condition.
Oh, and his name is Hawking. Not Hawkin, not Hawken, not Hawkins, not Hawkings. It's shown right on this page. Granted, it's up at the top, where you might have to look for it, but for Christ's sake....
schoolyard, Thanks. LMAO.
Angry Guy, just got to laugh that stuff off or you'll be angry all the time. I'm sitting hear laughing at people wishing Mr. "Hawkin" well and complimenting his expertise in astrology. :)
"here" NOT "hear" LOL
Susan, right you are. You got me there. I'm just laughing so hard at this stuff..........
And no one likes the grammar and spelling police, Susan. Give it a rest, girl. But not knowing someone's name and astrology and comparing Hawking's greatness to that of Stephen King...........priceless!!
$38.5K? Little better than a job flipping burgers. Add $100K to it and a qualified person might be interested.
Well it depends does it come from his own pocket or will the university pay for this. Actually any extra in Hollywood can make this money and smoke it away.
I would kill to spend time with Mr. Hawking. He would only have to pay me in knowledge
gelintor, why should it depend upon where the money is coming from? I have to assume Hawking has done quite well for himself financially and the university? I wouldn't worry about the university.
If I was qualified and didn't have family responsibilities I would certainly be applying. While it is true the money isn't much, it really isn't about the money. And I can imagine that this is the kind of position that can open doors to you that would otherwise be locked.
Gee, not qualified and family responsibilties. Those sound like two pretty big roadblocks, especially the part about not being qualified.
As long as I didn't have to wipe his chin of any drool I'd be good to go....
The drool is the least of it i wiped much more from my mother and father..Remember what goes around turns around. And look in a mirror you will become what you fear and OLD person.
gelintor, come on. Lighten up. When I was a youngun', we'd laugh about old people, too. I gave Pup1 a vote because he made me laugh.
Sorry about your mom and dad. And remember, Pup1 will only be an old person if he's lucky. There is only one other alternative.
Give me a call.........
Jagermeister73,
My best wishes for you and your mother. I have a brother with ALS. It is an ugly disease. Imatthebeach is correct, a dark sense of humor will help you survive.
What would it be like to be in the company of the smartest man who there ever was in history of this planet?
Really, really frustrating, I'd imagine. I don't know for sure, but I bet with his speech system, it takes him minutes to form a sentence. That's got to be frustrating for him, too.
I'm as big a fan of Hawking as the next person but this is a bit over the top. I'm just saying...
It's not just a bit over the top,
its way over the top.
He may be a math whiz,
but he's out there in goo-goo land with his theories of multi-verse universe origins and his disrespect for the One who created him and the obvious evidence that He left us with for His glory and creative power.
billc,
Intelligence is relative and hard to measure.
Hey, Dale, right you are.
John, damn, are you back here again.........or did you never leave? Do you sleep? And what are you talking about?
Yes John and there is nothing as a Christian human, because humans have brains and Christians don't. All Christian's are brainless scum of the earth.
Moltke5104
Many pardons for the misunderstanding I was not reffering to you
on the contrarary I agree with you.The remarks were not directed to you.
Excuse me FTBOMH.
Mind you, in this economy he may be able to find someone that would take that amount of pay. Although, if he expects that person to also pay for their own food and such...he might be a wee bit pressed to find somebody that is as smart as they would need to be willing to take that small sum.
I hate to burst anyone's bubble but I expect he is looking for a grad student, not a professional. This would be great money for a student.
Wow, that God of yours must really think you are special.
wghky, Mr. Hawking believes there is no God.
I did not know that.
wghky, Hey, I don't know much myself but I know that.
Imatthebeach: levity is always good!
Thank you, earthgirl. Don't know how people survive without it.
(sarcasm)
Cynical,
Your post is full of ignorance and nonsense.
Just asking.
Mine is not spelling
Yeah, your talent sure isn't spelling, Anthony. Nor is it compassion, empathy, respect or philanthropy.
I'll be back later to list some more things that are not your talents.
If I was qualified, I'd do it for free.
gelintor - That was funny!!! You made my day.
Go away.
Listen to reality, Parker, this is a genius ( he looks "little" as you say because he's in a wheelchair and paralyzed). You're a moron.
What's the matter, Parker? Does he make you doubt your shaky little belief system? I mean, life can be tough if you don't believe in things like angels and God, right? lol
Just think. You just might be a lunatic, talking to yourself, when you are doing all that praying.
You suggest that someone should die and then you claim your reasoning to be because someone isn't christian enough?
I suppose in your Universe - or at least the one this incarnation of you inhabits - believes that your view is in any way a christian view?
HEY DICK H, there is only one thing I have to say. "ditto"
That's plush!
wow, that is a great opportunity! hope he finds a good person....i will be telling the computer smart people i know, and hope they apply!
Good idea, Dawn. Round up all those computer-smart people you know.
lol! ah hello, don't you know people that build their own computers as a hobby! i am just saying, so they can get smarter....it's practically a priviledge, geez! sensity aren't we!
Yes, dear. I know people that build their own computers. Me. Sensity? Uh.......maybe you are "sensity".
well then, i forgive your...insulting my acquaintances and friends.
Or fly a commercial airliner or the shuttle. My point exactly. Maybe I need to spell it out, John.
Honestly, this is the best topic.....
Bob Howe what a loser, great posts!!
