The fact of the matter is that human sexuality is most certainly a product of genes and biology--not nurture or choice. Opinions of homosexuality that are based on ancient texts written by men from the Bronze Age who would be considered basically uneducated by today's standards should be given as much credence as the opinions those same men held about women's rights, slavery, or whether or not it is advisable to beat a child for being disrespectful.

The Bible states homosexuals should be put to death as well. So, it's NOT just the Islamic religion. There are many things that their religion says you should be put to death for that are also in Christianity. The only difference is that they still practice those rules and we were wise enough to realize long ago that no civilized society could exist using those rules.

Those 'rules' as you call them are still in effect.
